G.B Inspection Systems first contacted A.M.E Pressure Die casting in 2014.

Problem

They were looking to replace 2 x cast iron gravity casting which was very expensive to manufacture with the possibility of using a zinc pressure die casting.

The General Manager at G.B realised they needed to work in partnership with a good supplier who understood they had very little knowledge of the zinc pressure die casting process and its capabilities for finishing parts in chrome and powder coated in all colours etc.

GB shortlisted two local die casters in the west midlands and decided to work with us A.M.E Pressure Die Casting Limited. Once John Easthope quoted tooling and piece price with finishes, we were looking to finish castings in.

 

Solution

The project moved quite quickly, A.M.E took care of tooling and tool design to optimise casting processes.

Sample castings were then put forward for sample approval. Once GB approved the castings via the sample approval documents we were able to commence with production immediately.

Outcome

G.B Inspection systems now look at A.M.E PDC Ltd as an extension of our business. Where there is die cast requirement we look to A.M.E to support all of our needs in a cost and time effective manner.
